Taking the Next Step in Our Journey…
It is with great anticipation and joy that we announce that Peru Main Street UMC has been approved to move on to “Step 2” of the Fruitful Congregations Journey. As we outlined before, step two of the journey is the “Consultation/Intervention Process”. As another reminder, this process involves:
1. A four month period of preparation for a consultation assessment which will require the compilation of important data about our church, and the communication of what we learned in Step 1 through a training event for our leaders and any other interested individuals.
2. A weekend assessment by an external consultation team that will result in an assessment report that will contain five recommended next steps to help us become even more healthy and effective in carrying out our calling as a church.
3. Another period of discernment and decision regarding moving on to the final step of the journey by accepting and implementing the five recommended next steps.
We will soon be forming a team to help prepare the consultation assessment and guide us through our consultation weekend. If you feel led to help with this please let Pastor Dave know.
