Ole Olsen Hospitality, Feb. 24 – 26, 8:30 PM Friday/Saturday – 2:30 PM Sunday

We will be providing Hospitality at the Ole Olsen play “Working” at the Peru Depot for each show this weekend. Each Scout or Adult Leader should sign up to work at least 1 shift, Friday night, Saturday night, or Sunday afternoon. Some language may not be appropriate for the under PG-13 group. We are asking for each family to provide 2 or 3 dozen cookies, brownies, or other finger food for snacking during intermission.

Pack 3501 Blue & Gold Banquet, Feb. 27, 5:30 – 7:30 PM Monday

Meet at the church for the banquet – in uniform. We want to make a good impression on our future Boy Scouts from the Pack. There will be crossover and Arrow of Light ceremonies. Boy Scouts will be servers for the meal, or a $5 meal ticket is required.  Spaghetti dinner is on the menu. Come hungry.

Cave Campout, March 23 – 25, 5:30 PM Friday – 2:00 PM Sunday

Meet at the church for a 4 PM departure. Game time is 7 PM. Return to the church is expected around 11:30 PM.  Need to determine if we are going to Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky, or southern Indiana caves.

Beautification Days, April 28, 8 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday, Peru City Garage

Time to get dirty and go through other peoples’ trash. Wear gloves, old clothes. This is the one time you do NOT wear your tan Scout shirt, unless you plan to get it ruined. Plan for rain or other inclement weather, Be Prepared!

Dorchester, Cave Camp and Plane Rides

We are coming up on decision time to go forward with these activities. If you are going to Dorchester, you need to get your passport paperwork in process NOW. It takes 6 – 8 weeks to get cards, so it is already cutting it close. More details on getting cards is at our troop website links page: http://www.scoutlander.com/publicsite/unitcustom.aspx?UID=3809&CUSTOMID=11667  We need to have definite commitments to going to Dorchester, cave camp, and plane rides.  We have to get reservations in place for campsites and approvals for tour permits and plane rides. This doesn’t happen by itself. We
